PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES
The Faculty of Technology Management offers a degree programme that covers the aspects of general education as well as the core subjects that are based on the technological and managerial aspects as required by any industry or institution, especially those based on technology. This programme offers four main focal points or different specialised subjects which are manufacturing technologies; construction; electric and electronic technologies; and electronic commerce and computerised industrial technologies.
Each student is required to undergo practical training for a minimum period of four months. This exposure is essential for the students and industries/institutions in order to achieve the objectives that had been previously planned.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates from Bachelor of Technology Management with Honours will find themselves capable of holding job positions in any industry/institution, whether they be in the private or public sectors of manufacturing or services in many fields relating to technical or managerial fields. This programme has been successful in producing many abled graduates whom can compete in the job market.
Based on the research carried out, many graduates were able to take various job opportunities in many positions in a relatively short time after successfully completing this course. Among the managerial job positions held by our graduates include assistant manager, procurement or purchase officer, project supervisor, accounts officer, administrative officer, sales officer, human resource executive, business executive, marketing executive, research assistant, sales coordinator, and lecturer, while in the technical area, technical job positions include project engineer, assistant engineer, project executive, production executive, production planning executive, operations executive, technical executive, quality control executive, project coordinator, and production supervisor.
There are 4 major fields in this course - Construction, Manufacturing, Electronic, and ICT.
